Anybody else think Harry og kammertjeneren is the slashiest Danish movie ever?
Anyway, I've been thinking of making a list of Danish stuff I'd like to see fanfic for, to use as Yuletide requests. Krøniker fra Kvæhl, for instance, or Strit & Stumme. Except I'm already planning to make my Freddy & Monstrene request recurring, and really, only asking for Danish stuff would be - maybe a bit too much, yes? I mean, I've already got a bit of a theme going this year. (Though hopefully Vikings will manage to stay just small enough for one more year... Except I want there to be all the Vikings fic :-( )

We did talk about doing a Danish exchange of a sort, didn't we? I mean, technically we are enough people to make it work. If we all tried really hard to switch up our writing styles, maybe our recips would even find it sort of hard to guess who wrote for them :P Or at leaat only have like a 50-50 chance of guessing right, hee! And if we operate with enough fandoms, we'd get good overlap between all participants, and maybe even make the gifts a little surprising.

A Danish exchange - if we were actually writing in Danish, I suspect that would be plenty of switching up our writing styles right then and there. Speaking of exchanges - how's your Yuletide going? Personally, I've gone into research mode.

Yes, true if Danish language, then probably challenging in itself :)
I am hopeful about my Yuletide, but I'm still in gestating phase - probably will be until after thesis. Thankfully, I have no research to conduct! Canon free is the way to be!

I wouldn't call my assignment canon free - rather, there's almost too much canon. An almost infinite amount of variations on a theme. Fortunately, the sheer variety gives me a lot of leeway, so that's all good. And I've got a workable idea - now I just need to turn that into an actual plot.

Infinite variations sounds intriguing ;) I do worry about plot myself. I already sort of have something I would like to do, but it's more of a "wouldn't it be cool if I wrote a story like that?" than an actual idea for how it would look. If that makes sense.
