Admittedly, for some people it started with movie watching thursday, but for me, it started friday afternoon.![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
kabal42, ximeria, lysanatt and I met up at the National Museum to see the Viking exhibit (again, in the case of three of us) - oh, and this time we remembered to play the game (I was a very succesful Viking :-) ) It's a gorgeous exhibit and it's the one they're packing up in a week's time and shipping to England, so if you're around London next year, you should totally go see it. Oh, and before the exhibit we wandered around the museum shop for a bit - they have these gorgeous old school Christmas decorations (including old-fashioned cardboard christmas calenders and some day before the end of this month I need to stop by to get one of those).
Anyway, after the exhibit we met up withnoracharles at the station and headed north to my place. exeterlinden and calvinahobbes joined us there, we had pizza and mostly spent that evening chatting about all sorts of stuff, until kabal42, lysanatt and ximeria had to head to Copenhagen to sleep. And then we had a momentary panic because my electric pump for the air mattresses had died, but fortunately exeterlinden is made of sterner stuff than the rest of us.
Exeterlinden had to leave early saturday - in fact, she managed to leave something like five minutes beforeluzula arrived (having been in Malmö that weekend and just dropping in), so they just managed to miss each other :-( So, we had lunch and talked fannish stuff (I do believe there was a certain amount of Yuletide related conversation this weekend) and once the Copenhagen crew was back, we sat down to watch fanvids - calvinahobbes had the Vividcon dvds! Sadly, calvinahobbes had to leave fairly early (which also means that the vids we watched later didn't get written down - there was a singing creatures theme sliding into a dysfunctional couples theme sliding into something more superheroic (including Cobrastyle, of course - always including Cobrastyle. It's not a meet-up without Cobrastyle.)), and eventually luzula had to head back to Sweden and the Copenhagen crew had to leave once more.
Sunday noracharles and me followed them to Copenhagen, meeting up with kabal42 and ximeria for brunch/lunch and afterwards we wandered back to kabal42's place for more vidwatching (+ purring cat. That's always important.). And eventually I was the one who had to leave.
It was an awesome weekend. Best part, of course, is that it's just a month's time until Crazy Christmas Cabaret and we were talking about doing a write-in style meet-up around that, since so many of us are doing Yuletide and/or other challenges (which reminds me, I really need to get started on my smallfandombang). Actually, there was a fair amount of talking about future meet-ups, so that's always great.

I definitely need to come back soon, I feel like I missed at least half the fun - the exhibit! And I didn't even get to watch Cobrastyle.

Well, the exhibit is going to be in England next year. Maybe you'll feel a sudden need for a London vacation?
