So, 2013 turned out to be a surprisingly productive year as far as fanfiction goes.
Right, well, last of all I participated in Yuletide again this year and wrote this:
Kore (5673 words) by oneiriad
Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: Greek and Roman Mythology
Rating: Mature
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Characters: Persephone (Greek and Roman Mythology), Demeter (Greek and Roman Mythology), Athena (Greek and Roman Mythology), Hermes (Greek and Roman Mythology), Artemis (Greek and Roman Mythology), Hades (Greek and Roman Mythology), Hestia (Greek and Roman Mythology), Eileithyia (Greek and Roman Mythology), Hecate (Greek and Roman Mythology), Zeus (Greek and Roman Mythology)
Additional Tags: Asexuality, Asexual Character
Summary: The day her mother gives birth to a horse is the day Persephone decides that she really needs a plan.
which did pretty well, as far as kudos and hits and comments are concerned. It even got recced. Also, it somehow managed to end up getting wanked about over at the anonmeme - which I'm mostly puzzled about, really - the pickings must have been pretty slim this year (well, maybe there's a tiny part of me going: "Oh, wow! I'm controversial!" - except not really.).
Okay, so at the start of 2013 I participated in the somewhat delayed xoverexchange (and so far nothing of a new round, making me wonder if this exchange has died - which would be a shame, as I enjoyed it) and wrote a fairly well-received Sherlock/Supernatural crossover, For the Man Who Has Everything, featuring Crowley trying to repay the debt John's unknowingly put him in by randomly saving his life.
Also, I wrote a few small prompt and commentfic fills: Norse myth space opera AU Gridarvol, dragon!Norrington PotC The Scourge, Avengers historical AU Berserkr, Greek myth Apple, and Unshelved/Cthulhu mythos crack The True Meaning of Horror. All of them ultra-short, though a couple had decent enough ideas, if I ever find it in me to go back to them.
Oh, and then I managed to stumble my way into a new fandom - which some of you probably noticed. Vikings. Which I didn't expect to fall so very hard and so very fast for. Ahem.
The Keys to the House, set and written post-episode 3, when Ragnar and Lagertha left poor, confused Athelstan to babysit.
Krákumál, nasty little Ragnar-dies-and-Athelstan-is-used-for-his-funerary-sacrifice fic.
Hnefatafl, my most succesful fic on AO3 so far, featuring Ragnar challenging Athelstan to play a game for high stakes.
The Price of a Man, featuring Athelstan trying to buy his freedom and Ragnar having neglected to tell him that he's strictly speaking already free. As you do...
Archaeological Finds Rewrites Norwegian History, very post-canon fic in the form of an article.
The Treasure of Lindisfarne, retelling of Ragnar the dragonslayer, except Athelstan gets to play the role of princess in the tower.
Hlín's Second Sorrow, Rollo-centric and formally a crossover with The Almighty Johnsons, except not particularly. Featuring Rollo being sneaky and awesome, because I really do adore the guy. I wish this story had gotten more love, I'm kinda proud of it, actually.
Inn Mátki Munr, first chapter of a WIP Athelstan/Rollo soulmates!au - because if there were things I never expected to write, I might as well jump off the deep end, yes?
Also, a few tiny prompt fills for this fandom: Sacrifice, featuring Bjorn's first time raiding, Of Death, which is exactly what it says on the tin, and Takes One To Know One, being an ultra-short meeting between Ragnar Lothbrok and one Jack Sparrow - you may have heard of him.
So, yeah. New fandom. Productive.

I save everything longer than 5000 words to my ereader, so I haven't read yours yet, but I will.
