15. 300: Rise of an Empire
I liked this less than the first. I think I would have liked it more if they hadn't taken a kickass historical woman and given her a totally unnecessary background as a sex slave and had her die long before she really did. Also, bringing a horse to a battle at sea is just ridiculous...

Gorgeous, that's what this is. I think I might have enjoyed it somewhat more if I knew more about Russian history, but still.
18. Elysium
Not one of the better things I've seen in the genre of "let's make a big science fiction movie about social injustice along the lines of District 9". The fact that most people on Earth seemed, well, Latin American of some description, while people on Elysium were either white or (very occasionally) black seemed a bit heavyhanded - oh, and of course the savior character, our hero, was white and saved all the Earth people...
19. The Conjuring
It was a bit confusing, figuring out which story you were supposed to follow, but I rather liked the ghost hunting couple.
20. Kick-Ass 2
Well, at least it had changed the bits that had pissed me off the most about the comic, but still - I could have lived without this.

So, anybody else think Ruskin is supposed to be asexual? Except they keep not being able to make their mind whether he's nice or nasty. Oh well. And of course the woman with artistic dreams never really gets to go beyond the muse.

This wasn't quite my thing, but still - it makes an interesting counterpoint to the movies along the lines The Truman Show.
23. Despicable me 2
I could have lived without the inevitable "and now he needs a wife to be the girls' mother" part, but it was okay. Though it broke my suspension of disbelief to imagine Gru not noticing a bunch of his minions disappearing like that - the guy can tell them apart, surely he'd notice them missing?
24. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. I wanna see it again. Why haven't I seen it again yet?

Wait - why was everybody calling her a monster? That scar, that was barely - oh come one...

Having now seen the entire trilogy and can now conclude that I don't particularly like these two people - at least, I like them less and less as the story progressed, is probably more accurate. Oh well...
