Been to the doctor and got vaccinated. Can neither confirm nor deny that I wore my tiny viking t-shirt in order to borrow the tiny viking’s courage.

(Honestly? It’s not so terrible - it’s just that I don’t like needles. I’ve never fainted, they don’t hurt that much, I just really, really don’t like them.

But they really don’t hurt that much. Maybe when I’m back from Istanbul I should grow up and start looking into becoming a blood donor like a big girl.)

Well done you! Facing something unpleasant is a brave thing :) (And even braver if you do manage to become a donor.)

Confession: I still don't always feel comfortable with needles, no matter who is holding it. But you can get used to it, I can promise that. I used to feel quite bad about it, that has changed. Being a blood donor actually helped.

I thought needles hurt - guess I still thinks so, but the fear of the pain was problematic - and becoming a blood donor has made blood tests a breeze!

But you remind me I still need to look into all kinds of vaccinations for Peru - urgh, do not want. I believe in vaccinations, I do, I do, but something in me still stritter at the thought.

Unrelated to this post: I have nominated stuff for the Exchange at Fic Corner; among other things I have nominated Travel Light, and there's a lot of other stuff there, too. I'm planning to sign up to write for it. Might you be interested? : )
