My, but Lagertha has grown cynical.
"The last time with you." Uhm, last time was Paris and everybody was just fine, and you didn't mind leaving them then. But of course, Aslaug and Ragnar has been falling out more and more this season, so really, it's logical - and definitely an attempt to remove the two older boys from their mother's sphere of influence. Ah, politics.
Like son, like father? The Wessex royal family has perfected the art of the fait accompli, I see.
I still wonder what game Yidu thinks she's playing.
Why on Earth would anyone choose to ally with Floki? He disobeyed his king's direct orders, he killed one of his king's most trusted men - you can't trust him and anyone else will think twice about being willing to ally with you if you've got him, afraid of a knife in the back.
Also, Floki is so easy to play. Just claim piety and he'll follow - Horik did it, parading his fake piety for all to see, and now H2H are playing the same game.
Floki must have good hearing, to hear a very quiet song across who knows how much unquiet sea. Though sounds do carry during the night.
He'd do better to kill Yidu. I don't think she has anything resembling Ragnar's best interest at heart - she's a slave who has gained control of her master and she has no reason to think of him with kindness - I wonder what part she'll play in Ragnar's death. Anyway, she's just as much not one of them as Athelstan. Kill her, Floki!
Okay. I've no idea if breastfeeding as late as however old Ivar is was common back then (I doubt it), but that is definitely supposed to be an alarm signal to any modern viewer of an unnaturally close relationship between Aslaug and Ivar (I wonder what they'll get up to once the boy hits puberty...)
Also, where did Sigurd's snake go? Perhaps I just need to make the image bigger...
