I'm trying to decide whether I want to stop by Fantasticon this year. Looking at the programme, there aren't any must-absolutely-not-miss things. There's perhaps some of the panels on sunday - mostly the one about how Danish sf & fantasy for adults having trouble reaching a wider audience - that might be relevant to my interests, but I dunno. We'll see.
Besides, I already have sort-of plans for saturday, so.
Anyway, the Kultfilmquiz people have posted the three dates for the fall - sadly, I can already see that the october date is probably not going to be for me, because I am hoping to get to go to the Nordic ILL conference that week (which is conveniently in Cph this year, so - hoping here). Anyway, I know some of us have been talking a bit about actually doing a quiz at some point - are we actually serious? Because it occurs to me that perhaps we should speak up and claim a date, if we are serious.
Apart from that, what else is new. Oh, right - I finally cancelled my tv subscription. No more flow tv for me. Went to the mail office at the supermarket yesterday to return the tv box and got an e-mail today confirming it had arrived safely - that was uncharacteristically fast.
Oh yeah: somebody tell me not to spend an unreasonably amount of money on all the books I've been planning on buying for a while now - the last Tiffany Aching novel and the newest Vorkosigan and some others and probably the Blood Moon dvd.

Especially the first sounds super interesting! Guess will post to see if anyone wants to come with me.
Do you actually want to be talked out of it, if you've been planning it for a while :) ?

I do really want to go to a quiz again, I think I've only been once and it was so much fun :(
Congrats on cancelling your tv! I should think you can now afford those books you want, considering how much money you'll save on licens!
