1.Tell us your favourite christmas cookies
2.If possible, share a recipe!

My favourite christmas cookies are called jødekager - that would be jewish cookies in English, I think. No idea why they are called that, but they are delicious.

This is how it looks:

250 g white flour
150 g butter
100 g sugar
1 egg
Also:
an egg for brushing
cinnamon sugar
coarsely chopped almonds

Mix the flour and butter, and add the sugar. Add the egg and quickly knead the pastry together. Let it rest in a cool place for ½ hour, before rolling it out until it is thin. Use a glass or a tin form or something to cut out the cookies - some flour on the table will make them come right off. Brush them with a little egg, then sprinkle with som cinnamon sugar and some almonds in the middle. Bake a 200 degrees celcius for 6-8 minutes. (Most people say you should let them cool off before eating, but I like them while they are still warm :-)

I translated this myself from a Danish recipe, so if it is poorly frased or hard to understand or something, the fault is mine and mine alone. I´m sorry :-(
