I've somehow managed to survive yet another year and I've even managed to write a few fanfics along the way, so I thought I'd do my annual post of looking back on those.

Starting with the very last fanfic I wrote last year, namely the fanfic I wrote for Yuletide:

The Enchanting Wedding of Magica De Spell (8145 words) by oneiriad
Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: Disney Ducks (Comics)
Rating: General Audiences
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Gladstone Gander/Magica de Spell
Characters: Magica de Spell, Gladstone Gander, Donald Duck, Scrooge McDuck, Rosolio
Additional Tags: Accidental Marriage
Summary: "You are cordially invited to celebrate the wedding of Magica De Spell (witch) and Rosolio (fully trained magician) this All Hallows' Eve. You may bring a guest."

I must admit that this particular pairing had not even occurred to me before seeing it requested for Yuletide, but the fandom itself? I found it quite delightful to delve into a canon that was literally the canon I learned to read by. Even though every character was named wrong on account of the fic needing to be written in English. Poor Rasputin. His name is so much less elegant in English...

Other than Yuletide, I also participated in last year's AU Exchange, where the request my recipitient had that I ended up writing for was a Wonder Woman fanfic with the AU being an alternate origin based on another mythology than Greek. Which, possibly predictably, knowing myself, meant that I ended up writing it with Norse mythology, making Diana a valkyrie. As you do. Chooser of the Slain is the title, if you're interested.

Also last year, I partipated in a fairly massive collaborative writing project in the Legends of Tomorrow fandom. Basically, we were several who were - dissatisfied with how season 2 of that series had turned out, so we - wrote our own. We discussed plotlines and character arcs etc., and then we wrote one or more episodes each and posted them, day after day in september, and accompanied by absolutely stunning fan art by kickingshoes. My episode - The Sorceress' Apprentice - was set early on, being just the 5th, and had the legends visiting Viking Age Denmark, just because. It was a fun and interesting project to be a part of and I'd love to do it again (though so far season 3 is vastly better than season 2), though I am grateful I wasn't the organizer/fanfic writer wrangler.

Apart from those, I wrote a few The Flash and/or Legends of Tomorrow fics, as the mood struck. I wrote a couple of extra chapters for my prison AU wip for The Flash, Panopticon - and now the show has put Barry in jail for murder itself, so I am kinda feeling semi-not jossed, but - uninspired? I dunno. I should get back to that one. And I should get back to The Dragonish Way, my dragon AU coldflash WIP, because two chapters is barely a start and just embarrassing.

In completed arrowverse fic I wrote Where the Wild Things Roam, which was a sequel to my earlier wild west centaur AU fic - well, it was a sequel to robininthelabyrinth's sequel to it. You know how it is. It has centaur!Mick Rory and Barry Allen the very earnest Pinkerton and some wendigos. And then I wrote Mantis, which is just a brief ficlet playing with an alternate origin for The Flash and Captain Cold both.
