There was a storm yesterday, the kind of storm that topples trees and makes the police warn people against going outside because roof tiles - or roofs - might fall down on them. The news called it a hurricane and by Danish standards it was, though I suppose by the standards of more hurricane-plagued countries it would simply be a storm. Still, for Denmark, it was pretty intense - four people died, and some places on the west coast was actually evacuated. But although today is somewhat windy, the actual storm is gone, leaving fallen trees in its wake - including a tree in my neighbour´s garden, which has practically been pulled up with roots. Truth be told that is not altogether bad news, because that tree was big and casting a big shadow on our garden in the summer, but she is so proud of that tree that it never seemed wise to make a comment. Hopefully the storm will have solved that now...
Also yesterday there was a huge television show all day long practically, for the benefit of the tsunami victims. I caught glimpses, mostly - including a music video that has been made in a week or so, and which will be sold for the benefit of the cause. Mads Mikkelsen is in it, as well as a lot of different Danish celebrities Most of them can sing - I was left with the impression that Mads cannot. You can never really hear his voice, and he never once is shown singing alone. Not a bad song, though...

I actually don't like it if movie celebrities start singing. But as long as it's for the tsunami victims... :)

Most of the celebrities in question where actual singers, and they actually did a pretty decent job of it.

In German TV, it's quite different. They're actors and try to sing. And earn money with it. Most of the time, it's terrible.
