Well, what do you know - I think I have found a political party that I might actually agree with on sufficiently many points to like. Will wonders never cease?
A brand new party, actually, called "Minoritetspartiet" (the minority party) - and why? Because I was looking at their political programs and stuff and I hit me that on several points I agreed with them - or they agreed with me - whatever... Left wing, believes in individual rights and equality despite of cultural differences, less military, more culture, more hospitals, less EU, less brainlessly following USA - and so on and so forth.. Perhaps more importantly, there is none of their points that I was very unhappy with.
They strike me as pretty idealistic, but I suppose we could do with some idealists. Only two things that might be problems: a) they are a brand new party so it is hard to say if they will get any seats in Parliament, and they don´t seem to get a lot of attention by the media, sadly, and b) hopefully, if they get in, they won´t turn out like Enhedslisten - very idealistic, but never cooperating with anybody - the eternal opposition, which really is a bit like wasting the votes that people spent on them...
My husband and I are also quite intrigued by them (mind you, only he gets to vote, but I'm the one who has the time and the inclination to listen to the radio a lot, so I end up hearing more than he does, like when they were talking pretty seriously about borgerløn today, which is one of my husband's pet ideas).
