Ah, what better way to spend a lovely sunny day is there than to walk with a friend through good old Copenhagen - and following in H.C.'s footprints, so we got to see lots of streets and squares and statues and churches you don't normally see (and then we left the beaten path for a bit to go look at Amalienborg, because it was close, and it was a long time since either of us had been). Oh yes, and then there was the place were the path led us conveniently past an ice-cream seller - very conveniently :-)

Is that what those white footprints all over Copenhagen are? I was wondering about that when I saw them on Tuesday.

Jep, that would be them - part of the whole Hans Christian Andersen year. One of the better ideas, if you ask me. Mind, you have to be careful - some places have made fake footprints branching of from the main path, leading into porn shops, nightclubs or - at least in one case - just in circles...
