I'm beginning to feel comfortable in my new apartment. It's quite nice - not huge, but not tiny - and sort of white. I need stuff to put on the walls. Maybe some of those wall stickers...

Anyway, I might have taken a few pictures...

This is me, leaving home for the very last time. Kindly ignore the grinning individual in the back of the picture.

And magically we are suddenly in Esbjerg - well, magic and 4-5 hours driving and having to get up way too early in the morning to avoid the rush hour around Copenhagen. And the apartment itself is on the 3rd floor, although since the ground floor is upstairs too, I'm inclined to call it 4th floor - but the view is nice.

As is the window, don't you think?

The kitchen, such as it is.

The bedroom - well, a corner of it.

And me, sitting in my sofa corner - yes, I've been plundering Ikea along the way - the sofa folds out into a very comfortable bed, you know. Just in case.

Thus endeth the move - and just for the record, next time I'm moving, I'm hiring professionels to do the dirty heavy work.

Super cute! Congratulations!! Moving is such a huge pain in the ass - I'm glad you're finished.

Thank you - and at the end, I wouldn't exactly say the pain was in my ass - more like my legs. Stairs are evil. Very evil. Ah, but that's all over bar the shouting...

It has very nice lines, or maybe that's just the way that you've positioned your furniture. Is it a walkup, or do you have an elevator?

Elevator? What's that? One of those newfangled things they have in fancy hotels to amuse the customers?

It's an old building. There's nowhere to put an elevator, unfortunately. Ah well, at least the apartment is pretty. :-)

Nice. Have you lived on your own before? I hope you don't get lonely!

Nope, this is me leaving home - which was probably somewhat overdue. But I doubt I'll be lonely - I've got work, a town to explore. Why do so many people worry about me being lonely, I wonder? Even the official "welcome to the town" brochure talks about how easy it is to meet people and make friends.

Mmm, its funny living on your own.

I don't think you'll get lonely per se, but its the odd times like just before you go to bed and there in no one around to say goodnight to, or to argue with about what to watch on tv -that is the sort of thing I found hard to get used to!
