Oh, the ideas of god-personality vs. human-personality is kind of interesting. Because yeah, I can see it in the older ones, to a degree, but not in Axl. But then, the others have several years on him there.

Actually, the god-versus-human personality issue comes up in the show, especially whenever one of the destined-to-be-together couples meet - Hodr meeting Hel (no, I don't know why they are destined to be - cold and dark meets death?), Bragi meeting Ydun, if Odin ever gets to meet Frigg. And it's made pretty clear that whatever opinions and feelings the human part of the equation has is, well, not really relevant, nor is how long the person has carried the god. Which - well, let's just say it doesn't so far seem to lead to particularly healthy relationships...

But yes, you're right, Hodr and Hel are just wrong, because of course Hel should be shipped with Balder, as anybody who has read Valhalla knows :-)
